HIV/AIDS community Intervention Programme for Affected and infected Married girl children

    The primary target group would be pregnant HIV positive women. One of the most important foundations of the PMTCT intervention is counseling.  Along with the follow up procedure women will be counseled on the necessary preparation to be taken for delivery, on infant feeding choice where they shall be provided with suggestions and associate risks of feeding choices available that small guide her to make an informed choice regarding the same.  Further women will also be counseled on the various possible means of infant diagnosis of HIV during delivery shall have to continue with the follow up procedure making sure that the mother has an institutional delivery and has been administered NVP during labour.  Women need to be made aware of the treatment regimen along nutritional knowledge in the pre-delivery and post delivery stages.  Counselling of the women also helps to dispel the various wrong notions that they would have about HIV enlightening them towards the actual facts with regards to the infants born need to make sure that the child is on NVP with in 72 hours of the delivery, it has been put on CTX as well as refers the child for HIV testing within 6-8 weeks.  The procedure has to go on till the child is 6 months of the age where one needs to make sure that breast feeding c cases.

Brief introduction to Objectives

• Offering comprehensive health education including nutrition, exclusive Breastfeeding, RTIs / STIs, HIV / AIDS to target groups and the target community

• Implementation of voluntary counseling and testing services (VCTC) will tie up with local government hospitals

• The primary prevention of HIV infection among pregnant young women with anti natal and post natal care.

• The prevention of unintended pregnancies among HIV transmission from HIV infected child mothers.

• Provision of specific interventions to reduce HIV transmission from HIV infected Married girl children and to their infants

• Provide counseling, treatment, care and support for HIV-infected mothers, their infants and family.

• Implementing peer-based strategies (community participation) for promoting Exclusive breastfeeding, reduction of stigma & preventive measures for STI/AIDS

  • Rain water successfully harvested in newly constructed Farm ponds in seventhipatty village towards recharge the water level in nearby wells.
  • Staff capacity building training have been conducted by Tanurina from IMPACT, New Delhi at our office campus
  • HIV/AIDS for Youth awareness programme is conducted in district level, and covered 300 villages through Audio / Video shows by our Youth cultural team
